Country Check.
Pick a country to get a quick directional read — GDP, growth and governance signals — before deciding whether it's worth a deeper look.
What this checks, and where the data comes from
Pick any of the World Bank's ~217 tracked economies and this tool reports twelve indicators from the World Bank Open Data API, the Global Findex database and the Worldwide Governance Indicators:
- GDP (current US$)
- GDP per capita (current US$)
- GDP growth (annual %)
- Population
- Urban population (%)
- Internet users (%)
- Mobile subscriptions (per 100 people)
- Financial inclusion — account ownership (%)
- Rule of Law
- Regulatory Quality
- Political Stability
- Control of Corruption
Each figure is requested from the World Bank the moment you ask for it. The API is heavily rate-limited and often doesn't answer in time, so this site also keeps its own copy of the same published figures, generated and committed on a known date — when a live call doesn't land, the copy is used instead, and every result tells you how many of its twelve indicators came from which. Nothing is ever estimated, modelled or interpolated: the year beside each number is the year the World Bank publishes it for, and a figure that isn't published for a country is shown as missing rather than guessed.
It's a quick directional read — is this market big enough, growing, digitally reachable, and governed predictably enough to be worth a closer look — not a substitute for real market research. For an industry-weighted score and regulatory/logistics detail on top of this, use the Expansion Snapshot tool on the homepage; for a properly researched view, see Market Snapshot.
